  2. I give this product five stars because it does precisely what it should. It’s small, sleek and clever as heck. It provides a good, for their size, set of speakers that are unobtrusive and very very portable. I’ve fumbled around with removable speakers for my old ipod for ages and hated them. Even the ones that gave good sound quality. Having to carry around this big clunking set of speakers always drove me bonkers.

Now these are small speakers, so the sound’s predictably a little tinny, but for their size, and more importantly, the price, they’re amazing. Definitely something making it’s way to work with me every day.

Also there’s a headphone jack and open port for synching, so in theory you should never need to remove the ipod from its new case with speakers.

As a caveat, although it doesn’t rate the removal of a star, I feel the charge cable’s a bit short. The speakers run on a rechargable (via USB) battery. I can’t speak for battery life yet, but so far I’m delighted by this accessory.
